SAFER Landings

Positive Pathways, Reintegration and Family Support

Stability • Accountability • Future • Empowerment • Reintegration

SAFER Landings is Inspiring Futures CIC’s support programme for young people, adults and families who are affected by—or at risk of becoming involved with—the criminal justice system.

We provide non-judgemental, relationship-led support focused on prevention, positive change and building a safer, more stable future.

Who Can We Support?

SAFER Landings may support:

  • Young people at risk of offending or exploitation.

  • Individuals currently involved with justice services.

  • People preparing for release from custody.

  • Individuals rebuilding their lives following release.

  • People experiencing barriers linked to housing, wellbeing, relationships or employment.

  • Families affected by imprisonment or justice-system involvement.

  • Parents, partners and carers supporting someone through custody, release or reintegration.

Our Support

Support is tailored around the individual or family and may include:

  • One-to-one mentoring and trusted-adult support.

  • Early intervention and prevention work.

  • Positive choices, accountability and risk-awareness work.

  • Emotional wellbeing and mental health support.

  • Resettlement and reintegration planning.

  • Support to access education, training and employment.

  • Help to rebuild routines, confidence and independence.

  • Healthy relationships and communication support.

  • Practical guidance, advocacy and signposting.

Supporting Families

Justice-system involvement can affect the whole family. Families may experience anxiety, isolation, financial pressure, relationship difficulties and uncertainty about the future.

SAFER Landings provides families with a safe and understanding space to talk, access practical support and prepare for important transitions. We can also help families establish healthy boundaries, rebuild relationships and understand how to support a loved one without overlooking their own wellbeing.

What Do We Aim to Achieve?

Through SAFER Landings, we aim to help people:

  • Reduce the risk of offending and reoffending.

  • Build stability, confidence and resilience.

  • Make safer and more positive choices.

  • Improve relationships and family connections.

  • Engage with education, training or employment.

  • Reintegrate positively into family and community life.

  • Develop hope, purpose and realistic plans for the future.
