Alternative Provision

Alternative Provision
At Inspiring Your Future (IYF), our Alternative Provision is designed to support young people who face significant challenges within mainstream education. These may include persistent absence, behavioural difficulties, low confidence, communication barriers, or additional social, emotional, and mental health needs.
We recognise that for many young people, traditional educational environments do not always provide the structure, understanding, or support required for them to thrive. Our provision exists to bridge that gap—offering a safe, structured, and supportive environment where individuals can re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence, and develop the skills needed to move forward positively.

Our Approach
Our Alternative Provision is built on a trauma-informed, relationship-led model, where consistency, trust, and understanding form the foundation of everything we do. We work closely with schools, SENCOs, families, and partner agencies to ensure each young person receives a personalised package of support tailored to their individual needs.
We don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” model. Every young person who comes into our provision is met with a clear structure, high expectations, and a supportive environment that encourages growth, accountability, and positive change.
Each day begins with a motivational check-in, setting the tone for the day ahead—promoting positivity, focus, and readiness to learn. From the moment a young person is collected safely and brought into provision, they are supported, guided, and encouraged to engage.

Education & Academic Progression
At IYF, education remains a central focus of our Alternative Provision. Our aim is not only to support behaviour and wellbeing but to ensure young people are progressing academically and working towards meaningful outcomes.
We work in line with SENCOs and school expectations, ensuring our provision complements formal education pathways. Our experienced teaching staff, including a highly qualified SEND specialist, provide structured learning support tailored to each individual’s ability and needs.
We support young people in:
-
Re-engaging with learning
-
Improving focus and classroom readiness
-
Building consistency in attendance and effort
-
Working towards GCSE attainment and qualifications
-
Developing a more positive relationship with education
Our goal is to help young people not just return to education, but to succeed within it.

Developing the Individual
Beyond academics, our provision focuses heavily on developing the individual as a whole. Many of the young people we work with may lack confidence, struggle with communication, or have experienced challenging circumstances.
We provide targeted support in areas such as:
-
Self-awareness and accountability
-
Decision-making and consequences
-
Managing peer influences
-
Building positive relationships
-
Understanding personal goals and future pathways
Through consistent guidance and support, young people begin to shift their mindset, take ownership of their actions, and build a stronger sense of identity.

A Safe and Supportive Environment
We understand that many young people entering Alternative Provision may be experiencing difficulties both inside and outside of school. Our environment is designed to feel safe, consistent, and supportive—allowing individuals to settle, trust, and grow.
Our team works with patience, professionalism, and understanding, ensuring that every young person feels heard, respected, and supported. At the same time, we maintain clear expectations and boundaries to promote accountability and positive behaviour.
Outcomes & Progression
Our Alternative Provision is focused on achieving clear, measurable outcomes for every young person.
These include:
-
Improved behaviour and emotional regulation
-
Increased confidence and self-esteem
-
Better communication and social interaction
-
Improved attendance and engagement
-
Progress towards academic qualifications (including GCSEs)
-
Successful reintegration into mainstream education or transition into further education, training, or employment
We are committed to ensuring that every young person leaves our provision in a stronger, more stable position than when they arrived.
Real Impact
The impact of our work is seen through the progress of the young people we support every day.
Young people who once struggled to attend school begin to engage consistently. Individuals with low confidence develop the ability to communicate, participate, and express themselves positively. Those facing behavioural challenges begin to understand their actions, manage their emotions, and make better decisions.
Through structure, support, and belief, we help young people move from uncertainty to direction—from disengagement to opportunity.
Our Commitment
At Inspiring Your Future, we are committed to providing a high-quality, professional Alternative Provision that delivers real change. We combine education, mentoring, and personal development within a structured and supportive framework to give young people the best possible chance to succeed.
Our role is not just to support young people in the present—but to help shape their future.
